At Newbury Guest House we’re always working to make our guests’ stay even better. Our latest and most extensive effort to date is a major renovation of our boutique hotel in the heart of the Back Bay’s historic brownstone district. We’ve just completed nearly $1 million worth of enhancements.
And our stairs still squeak.
That’s because there are some things you just can’t improve on. Our guests love the grace and elegance of the three former 1890s residences that now form our hotel – the combination of Old-World and Colonial architecture that gives Newbury Guest House its warm, completely unique atmosphere. It’s why we didn’t touch many of the homes’ original features such as bay windows, ceiling medallions and decorative fireplaces. You’ll feel it most in the when you sit in our lobby, surrounded by books, antique chess sets, premium wines, and conversation with fellow guests from all over the world. If the price of being one of the city’s most authentically Bostonian places to say is a few squeaks and creaks, so be it. After all, atmosphere is a luxury, too.
Our guests love the Old-World charm. Old-world bathrooms? Not so much. So, our most exciting changes started there. We’ve replaced the bathrooms in every guest room with completely new modern ones, and stocked them full of premium robes, towels, and toiletries.
We’re also better connected these days. Newbury Guest House now has its own dedicated enhanced high-speed internet connection, which means better streaming speed and stable connections for our guests.
Returning guests will notice some changes to our lobby as well. We’ve installed new furniture, artwork, and a beautiful new home for our premium Lavazza espresso – a top subject of raves on Newbury Guest House reviews. We’ve also added three new common area bathrooms and modernized our parking and restaurant entrances.
And it just keeps getting better. Coming enhancements include new TVs, beds, pillows, foundations, and window treatments in every guest room.
The experience we offer our guests is as unique as Newbury Guest House itself. No other hotel in the area offers the historic beauty of this famous Back Bay neighborhood – now, with even more modern comforts. Come check in, and check it out.
